Wemyss House is a traditional house and bed and breakfast set in rural inverness and the highlands of Scotland. The porch extension, designed by MWE Architects, creates a dramatic new entrance to the property, and additional living space which takes in the stunning views of the Cromarty Firth and surrounding landscape.

The porch is simple in form however the deep overhang to the front provides a welcoming entrance which features an interesting structural design to the support of the roof overhang supported by timber posts in a ‘Vee’ arrangement and gluelam purlins internally, offer the building an identify of its own within the landscape.
