Middle Brunton East Farm – Residential Development

Middle Brunton East Farm – Residential Development

Project details

This project delivers a high-quality residential scheme on the site of the former East Farm, situated within Newcastle Great Park. The development provides eight detached family homes, set within a carefully planned layout that responds to the rural edge context while integrating with the character of the surrounding neighbourhood.

Each dwelling has been individually designed to create variety within a cohesive whole. Traditional materials such as brick, stone and slate are complemented by modern detailing, ensuring that the scheme reflects its agricultural heritage while meeting contemporary expectations for space and comfort. Open-plan living areas maximise natural light and connect to private gardens, while generous separation distances between homes preserve privacy and outlook.

The overall site arrangement forms a U-shaped composition around a central access road, creating a sense of community while orientating gardens towards the surrounding green edges. Soft landscaping and new tree planting enhance biodiversity and reinforce the rural setting, while carefully managed parking and refuse provision maintain uncluttered frontages.

Delivered to a high standard of workmanship and material quality, the project demonstrates how new housing can be sensitively integrated into established communities. The result is a distinctive collection of family homes that combine modern living requirements with a strong sense of place.
