The new glass entrance to Portland House is now complete, providing the principal point of access to this newly refurbished Grade A office building in the heart of Manchester. Extending over 60,000 sq ft, Portland House offers inspiring workspaces set across five floors, with quality, productivity, sustainability and wellbeing at their core.
The entrance forms a striking contemporary addition to the Grade II listed building, enhancing its presence on the street while creating a transparent and welcoming threshold. It redefines the arrival sequence into Portland House, guiding visitors into a reception that connects seamlessly with innovative communal areas, extensive end-of-journey facilities, and a wrap-around terrace overlooking the city centre.
Delivered as part of the wider refurbishment, the new entrance demonstrates how sensitive architectural interventions can both respect historic fabric and deliver modern functionality, ensuring Portland House continues to play a key role in the city’s evolving workplace landscape.
